Shortmox is a curated discovery platform. It may present titles by linking to or embedding works from third-party publishing surfaces where available. Rights sensitivity is therefore essential to how the platform operates.
1. Ownership
Third-party films, artwork, titles, descriptions, and related materials remain the property of their respective rights holders unless clearly stated otherwise.
2. Platform role
The platform’s role is to catalog, contextualize, and present titles in a curated environment. Its role is not to claim ownership over third-party works.
3. Embed principle
A title being publicly embeddable at source does not automatically mean it should remain visible indefinitely on Shortmox. Visibility may change because of rights concerns, takedown notices, source-side embed restrictions, attribution corrections, access changes, or editorial and legal risk review.
4. Contacting us
If you are a rights holder or authorized representative, contact us if a title should be removed, attribution is incorrect, an embed is no longer authorized or suitable, access status has changed, or legal or rights-sensitive context should be corrected.
5. Operational response
Where a credible rights issue is raised, we may temporarily disable content, remove playback, correct metadata, restrict visibility, or delist the title.
6. Source platform rights processes
If the title is hosted on YouTube or another third-party service, that service may also have its own formal takedown and copyright mechanisms. YouTube allows rightsholders to submit copyright removal requests as a legal process.
